The Penha Longa Resort is operated by the prestigious Ritz-Carlton group and as a result guests can expect the very highest standard of service in every aspect of their holiday. Rooms are well furnished and overlook spectacular views of the Sintra mountain range and the surrounding National Park.

The Penha Longa Resort sports two golf courses - the 18 hole Atlantic course and the 9 hole Monastery course – both of which are of a similarly high standard akin to courses like Quinta da Marinha.

Penha Longa Hotel Spa & Golf Resort, is undergoing an extensive refurbishment of its golfing facilities to further improve its two challenging championship golf courses - throughout the renovation schedule, the hotel will maintain the ability to play 18 challenging holes. The Monastery Course is undergoing refurbishment at present and is due to re-open in November 2008. When Monastery re-opens the Atlantic course will commence its renovations with 9 holes being closed at a time. During this time, clients will play a combination of the 9 hole Monastery Course and 9 holes of the Atlantic Course. The project is scheduled for completion March 2009.

Midori restaurant - The Midori Restaurant is a firm favourite with guests and locals alike because it delivers a true taste of Japanese cuisine, cooked to the highest standards. Diners can sample an array of exotic dishes as well as the traditional sushi and sashimi accompanied by fine sake. The ambience is chic and booking is essential for both a la carte days and for the Teppan Yaki Buffet on Saturdays.

Assamassa restaurant - The assaMassa Restaurant dishes up an elegant dining experience and guests can enjoy a menu that fuses the traditional with contemporary. Highlights include traditional Portuguese recipes with a modern twist and the Chef’s very own carte du jour. An impressive bread choice and wine list (500 wines to choose from) ensures that assaMassa is a ‘must visit’ during your stay at Penha Longa.

Serra restaurant - The ultimate in poolside posing, the Serra Restaurant offers guests a selection of delicious light bites and treats, fruit shakes and glamorous cocktails.
