National Golf Club
Regarded as the best in the area...
"Although a relatively new course as far as golf courses go, the
National is now the most established and respected course in the area
with the reputation of being a very tough course from the back tees
."
Course Information.
Only opened in late 1994 the National has took no time in establishing
itself as one of the best courses in Europe.
Designed by David Feherty, the course has received great acclaim; in
the year 2000 Golf World Magazine voted it 42nd best course in mainland
Europe, rising to 39th the year after. The German magazine Die Welt
declared it the 9th best course on the European Mediterranean coast
in 2000. More recently Golf Journal voted it 14th best in Europe in
2003.
The National is the first club in Turkey to be developed with guidance
and in accordance with the standards determined by European PGA and
is open to members and limited day visitors. Although a relatively new
course as far as golf courses go, the National is now the most established
and respected course in the area with the reputation of being a very
tough course from the back tees.

The course itself winds through pine and eucalyptus forests, with the
impressive, snow capped Taurus Mountains as a backdrop. The course also
makes use of many lakes and will test the ability of any golfer.
For those who don't fancy taking it on just yet there is a 9 hole executive
course which is more suited to the higher handicapper. Don't be lulled
into a false sense of security though as water comes into play on several
of the tee shots and the fairways are lined by dense woodland - if you
go in you may not get out in one.
For sharpening the game there is an extensive teaching academy with
driving range, chipping and putting greens and a practice bunker - all
manned by a team of PGA pro's who will help you sort your swing out.
