Course Information.

The Indiana Course at Desert Springs is a brain child of legendary course designer Peter McEvoy. The course is the first desert course in Europe and has been built to full USPGA specifications. If you've played a desert course before you'll have experienced the quality to which they are maintained. The Indiana is no different, offering perfect conditions and a new level of quality to the area. The course is a true championship course and has recently hosted the Spanish Amateur Open.

As Peter McIvoy said himself: - "We have created a course which really can be enjoyed by players of all different standards, we have kept the fairways generous and ensured that the less expert player can enjoy and improve his game whilst absorbing the awesome landscape and views that encompass the Indiana"

" Take our advice and take a old 7 iron in your bag as the 'hard pan' style rough can really damage your favourite clubs.."

"On the other hand, every hole has features which can be brought into play; the springs, watercourses, dry river beds, rock and cactus areas and bunkers are strategically located to examine the skills of golf's leading players when playing off the championship tees"

There are over 600,000 cacti and desert plants waiting around all fairways resulting in many wayward efforts getting the dreaded 'spiked lie'. Take our advice and take a old 7 iron in your bag as the 'hard pan' style rough can really damage your favourite clubs.

Practically every hole on the course requires a varying distance of carry off the tee as a variety of hazards wait to gobble up and scuffed or miss-hit drives from the island tees. The Arizona, as with most championship courses requires a high degree of concentration and precision to conquer. Braun alone with almost certainly come a cropper here. Take your time if you decide to play here as you'll certainly want to remember your round at the Arizona.
