Course Information.
Only five kilometers away from Playa de las Americas, Golf Costa Adeje’
has been created with the aim of becoming an important leisure option
in the Canary Islands.
The first eighteen of the total of twenty-seven holes occupy an area
of eight hundred thousand square meters. The designer of the course
is the world-renowned Pepe Gancedo, who has been responsible for a further
fourteen courses on both sides of the Atlantic and whose philosophy
it is to hand craft each hole adapting the course to the existing terrain
whilst respecting the environment and local plant life.
This philosophy is clear for all to see at Costa Adeje, where the fairways
follow the natural contours of the land. Over fifty thousand square
metres of dry stone walls delineating original agricultural terraces
have been restored and the greens have been strategically laid out along
the course, which enjoys spectacular views of the Atlantic, the island
of La Gomera, Playa de las Americas and the mountains of Adeje.

On the whole, the greens are generously sized. The course, designed
with equal numbers of three, four and five par holes, starts with a
long par five hundred and ten meters. The eighteenth is also a par five
of five hundred meters.
Costa Adeje was the venue for the 2003 Spanish Open and Tenerife Ladies
Open 2005. It is a top class layout in a lovely location. Highly recommended.
Among the complementary facilities at Costa Adeje, which comprises of
a fifteen-thousand-square meter-sloping terrain; there is a lift capable
of accommodation a golf buggy between the course itself and the driving
range, a height difference of some twenty-five meters.
It is also important to mention the recently opened Restaurant Cinco
Olivos in the Casa Club de Costa Adeje, whose kitchen combines the tastes
of France, the Caribbean and the Mediterranean and provides an endless
selection of wines and impeccable service.
