Course Information.
The par 71, 6411 metre Sultan is the work of European Golf Design and
David Jones. There main aim was to make it a highly challenging and
competitve course whilst blending it seamlessly into the natural environment.
The Sultan delivers a stern but rewarding test of golfing ability that
any keen player will relish. A true yardstick to gauge skill.
"your nerve is tested from the first tee with water prominently

"
The Sultan is typical of the vast majority of courses in the area in
that its main features are the tree lined fairways and the use of many
lakes and bunkers.
Indeed your nerve is tested from the first tee with water prominently
waiting to gobble up any loose tee shots on both sides of the fairway.
The 9th offers a choice off the tee. A brave tee shot between the bunkers
and the lake will shorten the hole quite a bit where as a safer shot
to the right will leave you a shot of about to clubs more.
The 12th will certainly test anyone's ability to hit the ball straight.
A par 4 of some 433 metres, the hole is very narrow and completely lined
with bunkers from tee to green - a par is something to be proud of here.
Last but not least the 18th is a relatively short par 4 but requires
a lot of nerve to keep the ball in play. Your tee shot requires a carry
over the lake to the fairway which is lined on both sides by water.
The further you go here the tighter the fairway gets leaving a second
shot at the green which is completely surrounded by bunkers.
