Costa Blanca Golf Holidays

The Costa Blanca lies on the eastern coast of Spain and draws millions of tourists each years with its promise of great weather (2,800 hours of sunshine per year and an average temperature of 19.3C) and gorgeous beaches.

Flights are cheap and readily available to the region because of its close proximity to Alicante airport, and as a result resorts like Alicante and Benidorm have been anglicised to a certain extent. So be wary of the wealth of late night bars and nightclubs if it’s not your thing.

There’s more to the Costa Blanca than the beach and the beer, other attractions include the stunning local architecture in Alicante such as the Castell de Santa Barbera and the Muse de Arte del Siglo XX Asegurada, which was built in 1685 and is the oldest building in Alicante. The Asegurada also holds Alicante’s art museum, and houses artwork by painters like Dali, Picasso, and Calder.

Other attractions in the Costa Blanca region include the city of Elche, which is surrounded by Europe’s only palm forest. The Island of Tabarca which lies an hour off the shore by Alicante and makes an excellent day trip, and for the kids (or big kids amongst you!) there is the Terra Mitica, which is Spain’s largest theme park, located on the outskirts of Benidorm.

The Costa Blanca is home to a number of excellent golf courses, most of which are not as busy as those in other regions like the Costa del Sol or the Algarve, and as a result prices tend to be slightly cheaper. The perfect choice for a Spanish Golf Holiday.
